True tho. I mean, the Internet isn't something that was created for children. Of course, there are spaces for them, such as there are spaces for other age groups, lol.
Also, either some parents and/or conservatives like it or not, if kids and teenagers wanna know or access something, they will. They can easily lie about their age when they sign up for something.
Or learn things that their parents/these people don't want them to through friends at school, or even other people they meet else where.
But either way, we all know this is not about the children or their savety and wellbeing. It never has for these people, and it never will be.. it's always just about control and censoring ideas and people that they do not agree with and hate. If they gave 2 shits about the children they would focus on other 10 billion things that hurt children in this messed up world. And freedom of expression on the Internet is not one of them.
And ya know, as a non-American, it still annoys me to death to see American conservatives think they know better for everyone else!! Like get a fucking life!!! The Internet is not just American or for America, and your conservative asses!! Also, gotta love how freedom of speech applies only when they spout their hateful bullshit!! Also, there is a difference between having freedom of speech and being contradicted/criticised on your ideas, and outright erasing and censoring, which is what these hateful people love to do to other groups of people. I am so tired of them!
(Apologies for the rant. I usually don't get political online. But I am so tired of hearing American conservatives or just such hateful people in general having so much power and doing this type of things, and being hypocrites and hiding behind the "protecting the children" when they obviously don't give a flying fuck about anyone but themselves, their antiquated ideas they want to force on everyone else in the world and control, because they are nothing but power freaks!)
